Method for a HP BIOS RECOVERY:
Prerequisite:
The BIOS recovery procedure requires a USB diskette drive and a formatted diskette.
USB pen ----> doesn't work
Download you BIOS from HP, please note the model 68xxx
Copy the bin file of the BIOS on the diskette. eg:68YHV.BIN and not ROM.BIN
Press the 4 harrow keys (up, down, right, left) on the keyboard and power ON.
Wait ~2, 3 seconds an release the keys.
Wait the end of the process ( 2 minutes)

Get any flash USB drive,
Format to FAT (even under Win7),
Unpack original BIOS package by runing it
Important: - use any previous BIOS version
Copy BIOS file from original HP package: (C:\SWSetup\sp51969\Rompaq\68SRR.bin) to main directory on flash disk (root)
Copy efibios.sig file taken from C:\SWSetup\sp51969\ROM.CAB to flash drive like before
Rename efibios.sig to 68SRR.sig.
Put USB drive to bricked notebook, remove battery.
Now plug AC and power on notebook holding Win+B keys.
After that (about 20 sec later) notebook will go power down, then remove flash and follow HP recovery BIOS instructions on screen
This works for sure with 4530 notebook, but propably will work on other Probooks - just try.
